Since 1994, the Black Harvest Film Festival has been Chicago’s annual showcase for films that share the Black, African American, and African Diaspora experience. The centerpiece theater for the festival is the Gene Siskel Film Center, and festival honors include the second Sergio Mims Fund for Black Excellence in Filmmaking and The Richard and Ellen Sandor Festival Prize.
